Gardar is an Icelandic documentary director and a cinematographer based in London. His films experiment with cinematic language, such as fictionalized narration, found footage and observational filming, to investigate how individuals respond emotionally to the world, and how that response affects the world we inhabit.
Gardar is a directing documentary graduate of the National Film and Television School. His graduation film Thinking About The Weather is about a narrator that goes on a journey around Britain to try to resolve his anxieties about the looming climate apocalypse.
